All right here is your opportunity to help young kids of color, specially young African American Males. My organization (MPJI) Minority Photo/ Journalism Institute is working with two national organizations to teach photography, photo journalism and broadcasting. The Delta’s and The Link’s incorporated. We need to raise some money to provide these young kids with equipment to learn photography, photo journalism and broadcasting.

There is an epidemic of young men of color shooting and killing each other and others throughout this nation. They need to take that energy and anger and focus it in a positive direction! At MPJI we have a slogan “if you want to shoot somebody, pick up a camera” in order for the young men and women to pick up a camera as opposed to a gun we need money to buy cameras and other equipment. So here’s the deal were going to start selling limited addition of photographs, some are just very nice photographs and some are posters made from photos taken at important and historical events.

Many of you may or may not know. I was one of president Barack Obamas photographers in California when he was running for the presidency. When he returned to California on his first trip after becoming president, I had the privilege of photographing the historical moment at the Long Beach Airport as he walked off of Air Force One. The first photo in a series of photos is a poster madeof images as he stepped off Air Force One, it is a limited addition only 5000 prints will be made and sold worldwide. All prints have my signature and are numbered. And It is a 12 X 18 the price is $30.00 all purchases are tax deductible. If you would just like to donate some money or equipment you may contact me at: Haywood@mpji.org Thank you in advance for your support and remember if not now when? And if not us! Who?
